Job Description:
The USP (United States Pharmacopeia) Internship Program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the advancement of quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry. This program provides exposure to various facets of pharmaceutical sciences, regulatory affairs, and quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams to support projects related to pharmaceutical standards development, quality testing, or regulatory compliance.
- Assist in research, data analysis, and documentation to contribute to the development of quality standards.
- Participate in laboratory activities, quality assurance processes, and testing procedures.
- Engage in regulatory research, tracking changes in regulations, and assisting in compliance efforts.
- Learn and follow laboratory protocols, safety measures, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant degree program (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Regulatory Affairs, etc.).
- Understanding of pharmaceutical principles and quality assurance concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eligibility to work in the location of the internship without sponsorship.
Experience: While prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is not mandatory, any internships, coursework, or projects related to pharmaceutical sciences or regulatory affairs would be advantageous.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory protocols.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
