Job Description:
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is proud to announce its Internship Program for 2024. This program offers aspiring professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to public health initiatives across the state of Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting research and data analysis to support public health programs and initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of public health campaigns and educational materials.
- Assist in planning and coordinating community outreach events and health fairs.
- Provide administrative support to departmental staff, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and maintaining records.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and trainings to enhance professional development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address public health challenges and promote wellness in communities.

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related field.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic computer skills.

Experience:
