Job Description:
The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is pleased to announce its Internship Graduate Students Program for 2024. This program offers graduate students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to conservation efforts across the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting field assessments and surveys to evaluate natural resource conditions and identify conservation opportunities.
- Support the development and implementation of conservation plans, including soil and water management practices, erosion control measures, and habitat restoration projects.
- Provide technical assistance to landowners, farmers, and ranchers on conservation practices and programs.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to conservation outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Participate in outreach and education efforts to raise awareness about conservation practices and promote sustainable land management.
- Collaborate with NRCS staff and partner organizations to support conservation initiatives and projects.

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Strong interest in conservation and sustainable land management practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in GIS, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant software.
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

Experience:
