Job Description:

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is pleased to announce its Internship Graduate Students Program for 2024. This program offers graduate students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to conservation efforts across the United States.

1. Assist in conducting field assessments and surveys to evaluate natural resource conditions and identify conservation opportunities.
2. Support the development and implementation of conservation plans, including soil and water management practices, erosion control measures, and habitat restoration projects.
3. Provide technical assistance to landowners, farmers, and ranchers on conservation practices and programs.
4. Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to conservation outcomes and program effectiveness.
5. Participate in outreach and education efforts to raise awareness about conservation practices and promote sustainable land management.
6. Collaborate with NRCS staff and partner organizations to support conservation initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

1. Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field.

5. Proficiency in GIS, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant software.
