Job Description:

Embark on an exciting adventure with the National Park Service Summer Internship Program in 2024. 1. Assist park rangers and staff in daily operations and activities.
2. Participate in conservation and environmental projects within the park.

4. Support research initiatives related to the park’s natural and cultural resources.

6. Assist in the planning and execution of special events and programs.

Qualifications:

1. Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
2. Pursuing a degree in environmental science, natural resource management, history, cultural studies, or a related field.
3. Strong academic record.
4. Passion for environmental conservation and cultural heritage.
5. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Willingness to travel as required.

Experience: Prior experience in outdoor education, environmental science, or historical interpretation is beneficial but not mandatory.

Skills:

2. Basic knowledge of environmental and cultural resource conservation.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
6. Outdoor and recreational skills are a plus.
