Job Description
This position is part of the Department of the Army Pathways Recent Graduates Program, which provides recent graduates with entry-level career opportunities in federal service. Participants may be eligible for conversion to a term position with the Department of the Army upon program completion.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and evaluate career management programs aimed at enhancing the education and development of Army civilian careerists.
- Advise on professional training, development, assignments, and certifications for career field personnel.
- Oversee career field operations to improve competencies, increase career satisfaction, and promote employee engagement and retention.
Qualifications
Eligibility
- Open to recent graduates who have completed an associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, professional, doctorate, vocational, or technical degree or certificate within the last two years from an accredited institution.
- Preference-eligible veterans who were unable to apply previously due to military service obligations may apply within six years of completing their degree.
Required
- U.S. Citizenship
- Completion of the Recent Graduates Program with successful job performance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Experience
Specialized Experience
- At least one year of experience (GS-09 level) managing and coordinating career internship programs and assessing program progress through data analysis.
Education
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three years of progressively advanced graduate education leading to a doctoral degree, in a field related to the position.
Combination of Education and Experience
- A mix of education and experience may qualify for this position if it meets the required percentage calculation.
Skills
- Oral Communication: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex information verbally.
- Planning and Evaluation: Proven capacity to design and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Technical Competence: Expertise in career management, program coordination, and personnel development.
